The IDEA League UK had produced leaflets that have been distributed to a number of professionals as a way of raising awareness of Dravet Syndrome within the medical community. Another very important way for us to reach these professionals is through attending conferences and seminars with our exhibition stands.

The IDEA League UK will be in attendance at the following conferences in 2010:

The National Center for Young People with Epilepsy Parents and Families Conference. 3rd July, Central Manchester.

This conference is aimed at parents and families of all children with epilepsy and presentations cover a young person’s view, latest developments in childhood epilepsy, epilepsy and the family and a personal perspective. IDEA League trustess Dawn Paterson and Amy Thompson will be manning our stand at this event. To book a place click here.

The Matthew’s Friends Global Symposium on Dietary Treatments for Epilepsy and other Neurological Disorders. 5th – 8th October – Scientific Meeting. 9th October – Family Conference.

Trustees Frances and Marie Baker will be attending both the Scientific meeting and the Family Conference. The scientific meeting will provide us with an opportunity to network with a wide range of professionals working within the field of paediatric epilepsy.
